<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas generator in which the ignition property of the entire gas generating agent is good, and the blockage of combustion gas is unlikely to occur inside a housing, thus, gas is easy to flow, and the timing of gas emission is early. <P>SOLUTION: A tubular member 30 forming a tubular gap 35 leading to a gas outlet 15 is arranged in the tubular housing 10. A gas generating agent 90 is ignited and burnt by an igniter 16. When the gas is generated, part of the gas flows into the gap 35 from a first gas passage hole 37 (f<SB>1</SB>), and part of the gas passing therein flows again in an arrow direction into the tubular member 30 from the opening 38 (f<SB>2</SB>) so as to back up the combustion of the gas generating agent 90. After the gas flows into the gap from a second gas passage hole 39 (f<SB>3</SB>), the gas is emitted from the gas outlet 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
