<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact touch panel that maintains bonding strength between substrates. <P>SOLUTION: The touch panel includes: a first substrate having a first transparent electrode; a second substrate disposed facing the first substrate, having a second transparent electrode; a bonding member bonding the first substrate and the second substrate; and projections interposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, and formed in at least one of the first substrate and the second substrate.
