<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of treating exhaust gas which is free from the deterioration of a performance to treat a nitrogen oxide of the exhaust gas, even when the temperature of the exhaust gas in a boiler etc, is high, as well as a treatment device. <P>SOLUTION: An exhaust gas cooling device is actuated when the temperature of the exhaust gas is at and over approximately 150°C. And thereby, the temperature of the exhaust gas is controlled to be at or under approximately 130°C.
