<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating device, along with a portable information terminal, which allows inputting with a key with sure. <P>SOLUTION: An operating device (portable information terminal) 1 includes a case (rear case) 22 provided for a key 23L to freely protrude and retract. The key 23L includes: a body part 231 formed in laterally oblong shape in a first direction (S1 direction); and shaft part 235 which is positioned on one end side in the first direction of the body part 231 and extended in the first direction as well as in a third direction (S3 direction) almost orthogonal to a second direction (S2 direction), being the protrusion direction of the key from the case. The case 22 includes a biasing member (contact-point rubber) 34 for biasing the key 23L in the second direction, and a regulation part 411 which abuts on the shaft part 235 that has been biased. The key 23L includes a shaft part 234 which is positioned on the other end side in the first direction and is extended along the third direction. The rear case 22 includes a guide part 54 which sandwiches the shaft part 234 to guide the shaft part 234 in movement along the second direction, and a regulation part 55 which abuts on the shaft part 234 that has been biased. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
