PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new microwave processor which spatially constitutes the intense region of a high-frequency electric field in a heating chamber in accordance with the shape of a heated object, and heats the object by means of the high-frequency electric field. SOLUTION: The microwave processor includes: the cylindrical heating chamber 10 to generate a low-order TE mode; a gate 11 with a steam generator 14 mounted in its one end; power supplies 12a, 12b of 180°phase difference on the bottom wall 10a of the heating chamber with their looped surfaces directed to the center of the bottom wall; and a dielectric vessel 13 mounted in the heating chamber 10. Microwaves are supplied to the heating chamber 10 from a microwave generator 100 having a microwave oscillator 101 with a frequency-variable function through the power supplies 12a, 12b. By the frequency-variable function, the microwave can be effectively supplied to the heated object of a different shape and material, the high-frequency electric field can be formed in the heating chamber 10 with a desirable distribution and the highly intense electric field, and the heated object can be processed to a desirable condition.
