PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of footwear without a quarter such as a sandal wherein since force is applied to the toes unconsciously not to walk along with dragging the outer sole, the toes are tired, and when the force to the toes is released, the outer sole is dragged so that the outer sole is liable to break, and further in the case of a sandal with a strap extending from the upper or the side edges of the insole to the heel, it takes time and trouble to put on and off the sandal because wearer's back is bent down to fasten a strap on the heel and stop and release a fastener. SOLUTION: A ring 5 made of plastic or like material is raised from the right and left side edges of a portion where the heel of a foot placed on the insole 1 of footwear is located to be applied to a projecting part of the heel back part, and fixed. In putting on this footwear, when with the heel abuts on the inside of the upper end of the ring 5, the wearer steps on, the heel is slid into the inside of the ring to go in a predetermined position, and simultaneously the ring is applied to the projecting part of the heel back part so that each time the feet are alternately raised in walking, the ring pulls up the insole 1. Thus, the outer sole 4 is not dragged on the ground. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
