PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store articles in a folding container which is assembled in a box shape, or to take out articles from the folding container assembled in a box shape without being impaired by a lid part in comparison with a case in which the lid part is erected in a substantially vertical manner like a conventional folding container, and to enhance the workability of taking in/taking out the articles to be stored. SOLUTION: The folding container consists of one set of opposing split side walls 1 composed of a pair of split side wall parts 1a, 1b to be hinge-connected to each other at opposing vertical long side parts, another set of opposing single-plate side walls 2 to be hinge-connected to the split side wall parts of the split side walls, a bottom part 3, and a lid part 4. The lid part is formed in a single-plate shape, and the single-plate lid part and one of the single-plate side walls are subjected to the two-axis hinge connection.
