HONEY AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

Provided is a novel method for producing honey with which problems associated with tree sap, such as maple syrup, and natural sugar-containing liquids and problems associated with the bee-keeping industry are simultaneously solved. By means of the method for producing honey, tree sap is prepared to a sugar content that is within a range of 10 to 40%, the resulting prepared liquid is brought to 25 to 40? and fed to bees, the bees make honey, and the produced honey is recovered. Also provided is the honey produced by this method. The honey contains sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, zinc, and copper, the potassium content is 200µg/g or greater, and the calcium content is 30µg/g or greater. The honey is not concentrated or diluted, and contains no additives.
