The embodiments of the present invention disclose a method, a device and a system for forwarding video data and belong to the field of video transmission. The method includes the following steps: receiving and caching media streams, analyzing the cached media streams, obtaining transport stream (TS) packets therein, evaluating and identifying the visual sensitivity priority of each TS packet; discarding the TS packets with low visual sensitivity, re-encapsulating the TS packets with high visual sensitivity to form new media streams; and transmitting the re-encapsulated new media streams to a user equipment, wherein the TS packets with high visual sensitivity at least include a video TS packet encapsulating intra coded frames. Use of above embodiments of the present invention enables a network equipment to discard the TS packets with low visual sensitivity in the media streams, thus reducing the time of fast channel switching, lightening the network congestion and improving the transmission efficiency without affecting user visual experience.
