<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for specifically and quickly detecting and identifying the particularly virulent strain Listeria monocytogenes. <P>SOLUTION: Through classifying according to the single-nucleotide polymorphisms of hlyA gene, inlA gene, clpC gene and plcA gene, found in Listeria monocytogenes, and detecting a plurality of single-nucleotide polymorphisms, consisting of identified combinations classifiable according to the specific single-nucleotide permutations within the single-nucleotide polymorphism of each gene, the virulent strain belonging to the same group as the strain found in the clinical strain can be detected.
