摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device capable of performing forced filter regeneration after preventing excessive rise in temperature of an HC adsorption catalyst in the forced filter regeneration. <P>SOLUTION: The exhaust emission control device includes: a filter 22 trapping a particulate in an exhaust system R of an internal combustion engine 1; an HC adsorption catalyst 19 provided in the exhaust system and adsorbing and desorbing hydrocarbon; trapping amount calculating means 122-3a calculating the trapping amount of the particulate to the filter; adsorbed amount calculating means 122-4a calculating the adsorbed amount of the hydrocarbon to the HC adsorption catalyst; HC adsorption catalyst regeneration control means 122-4 carrying out desorption processing of the HC adsorbed to the HC adsorption catalyst; and filter regeneration control means 122-3 carrying out forced regeneration of the filter when the trapping amount of the particulate exceeds a predeterminedd amount.
