PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress inclusions in a molten steel from flowing out of a ladle. SOLUTION: A resistance heating element 30 is provided inside a side wall 10 of the ladle 1. In the resistance heating element 30, its lower end 30a is arranged at the position where the height H from a bottom surface 11a (an upper surface of a bottom part 11) inside the ladle 1 is in a range up to 1m. The heating thermal flux W (W/m<SP>2</SP>) of the resistance heating element 30 satisfies inequalities 0<W≤2Q (where Q: heat release flux (W/m<SP>2</SP>) of a molten steel M from the side wall 10). The heat release of the molten steel M from the side wall 10 is suppressed by the resistance heating element 30, the descending flow due to the heat convection of the molten steel M is suppressed to suppress inclusions in the molten steel M from flowing into a tundish 22 from the ladle 1.
