PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel whose length, in the optical axis direction of a taking lens in the collapsed state, can be shortened. SOLUTION: The collapsible lens barrel includes: first and second group lenses having the optical axis O; a fixed frame; a cam frame 5 having cam grooves 5a and 5c which are inclined with respect to the optical axis O, and rotationally driven backward and forward; a first group frame which holds the first group lens, includes a cam follower to be fitted with the cam groove 5a, and is driven backward and forward; a second group frame which holds the second group lens, includes a cam follower 39 to be fitted with the cam groove 5c, and is driven backward and forward. The cam groove 5c has a groove width with less clearance in a photographing possible rotating range and a groove width with larger clearance in a collapsing rotation position. In the collapsed state of the lens barrel, the cam follower 36 can be moved, in the clearance of the cam groove 5c, in the collapsing direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
