PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen printing press which can easily respond to the thickness change of a substrate in vertical direction and to the length change in the direction which approximately crosses in a rectangular manner against the transferring direction of the substrate. SOLUTION: The screen printing press 1 has a mask backup unit 2 which supports the lower surface of the mask 50 at the time of printing. The transferring direction of the substrate B is defined as X-axis direction, and the direction approximately orthogonal to the X-axis direction is defined as Y-axis direction. The mask backup unit 2 has a plurality of mask backup pieces 20L, 20R. The number of mask backup unit pieces 20L, 20R which support the lower surface of the mask 50 at the time of printing, among the plurality of mask backup unit pieces 20L, 20R, can be added or subtracted in accordance with the Y-axis length of the substrate B. Regardless of the thickness of the substrate B in the vertical direction, the upper surface of the mask backup unit pieces 20L, 20R which support the lower surface of the mask 50 and the upper surface of the substrate B are maintained at the approximately same height at the time of printing.
