Provided are a driving torque-calculating device for a variable displacement compressor, capable of being easily adapted to the specifications of a vehicle and highly versatile, and an air conditioning system for a vehicle, provided with the device. A driving torque-calculating device comprising: an inlet refrigerant pressure sensor (46) for detecting, at the inlet of a heat dissipater (24), the pressure of a refrigerant; an outlet refrigerant pressure sensor (48) for detecting, at the outlet of the heat dissipater (24), the pressure of the refrigerant; a rotational speed detecting means for detecting the rotational speed of a variable displacement compressor (100); a suction pressure detecting means for detecting the suction pressure of the refrigerant sucked into the compressor (100); and a calculation means for calculating the driving torque of the variable displacement compressor (100) on the basis of the pressures of the refrigerant at the inlet and outlet of the heat dissipater (24), the rotational speed of the variable displacement compressor (100), and the suction pressure of the refrigerant.
