<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon dioxide liquefying apparatus capable of saving energy. <P>SOLUTION: This carbon dioxide liquefying apparatus 1 includes a booster 10 for pressure-increase of a carbon dioxide containing gas Gm to the first prescribed pressure lower than critical pressure of carbon dioxide; a cooler 21 for cooling the carbon dioxide containing gas Gm drawn out from the booster 10 by a cooling medium F; a condenser 42 for cooling-condensing the carbon dioxide containing gas Gm, after passing through the cooler 21, to generate liquefied carbon dioxide Ln; a pump 28 for pressure-increase in the liquefied carbon dioxide Ln to the second prescribed pressure higher than the critical pressure of carbon dioxide; and a heat exchanger 30. The heat exchanger 30 heat-exchanges the critical pressure liquefied carbon dioxide Lp pressure-increase by the pump 28, with the carbon dioxide containing gas Gm led out of the cooler 21. Hence, the carbon dioxide containing gas Gm is precooled with the critical pressure liquefied carbon dioxide Lp, and refrigeration load in the condenser 42 is reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
