<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver capable of reducing possibility of missing of video watching or voice listening that may be caused during input switching, even without performing delay processing, and to provide a method for controlling the broadcast receiver. <P>SOLUTION: In the broadcast receiver, a delay calculation part 113 compares a time-stamp (PCR (Program Clock Reference)) acquired from a separation part 103 with a time-stamp (PCR) acquired from a separation part 107 to calculate a delay difference between a broadcast program before input switching and a broadcast program after the input switching. When the delay difference ΔPCR calculated by the delay calculation part 113 is ΔPCR>T1, a system control part 115 performs control so as to perform double-screened display of the broadcast program before the input switching and the broadcast program after the input switching. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
