<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a state where a face or the like of a user does not come close to a touch panel of a terminal, and to invalidate input from an input means such as a touch panel only in the case of this state during a call to prevent unintended malfunction due to contact of the face or the like of the user during the call to the touch panel and the input means. <P>SOLUTION: Numeric keys are displayed on a liquid crystal panel in a landscape mode arrangement (S1). A phone number of a counterpart is input by pressing the numeric keys of the liquid crystal panel from a touch panel to come into a call state (S2). Thereafter, when a PDA body is brought close to an ear in order to speak to the counterpart, the PDA body is set nearly in the vertical direction, and a tilt sensor 15 detects the tilt of the PDA body 1 (S3).
