PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminaire illuminating both merchandise under a shelf and the front of the shelf while using a LED (light emitting diode). SOLUTION: This luminaire includes: a shade 2, the lower side and the back of which are opened; and an LED lighting body 3 provided in the shade 2 to radiate light downward. The shade 2 includes a front part 6 translucent and located in front of the LED lighting body 3 and a reflecting plate 7 provided below the front part 6. The light 8 of the LED lighting body illuminates the lower side of the shade 2 and the reflected light 9a, 9b, 9c reflected on the reflecting plate 7 illuminates the front part 6 of the shade from the back.
