<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein, in detection of surface conditions of a recording sheet, according to a relation between a fiber orientation direction of the recording sheet and a light irradiation direction, a different discrimination result is acquired from the same recording sheet. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming device for detecting surface conditions of the recording sheet on which an image is formed, includes a light source that emits a first light beam and a second light beam, an image capture device configured to capture a first image of the surface of the recording sheet illuminated with the first light beam and a second image of the surface of the recording sheet illuminated with the second light beam. A straight line including a ray in a center of the first light beam and a straight line including a ray in a center of the second light beam intersect with each other, when each straight line is projected on the surface of the recording sheet, and information about the unevenness on the surface of the recording sheet is detected based on the first image and the second image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
