<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a battery which can provide excellent discharge characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: A positive electrode 21 and a negative electrode 22 are wound with a separator 24 interposed therebetween, and thereafter are housed inside an armor member; and a solvent and an electrolyte composition containing a polyvinyl acetal or its derivative and lithium hexafluorophosphate are added. The polyvinyl acetal or its derivative polymerizes using the lithium hexafluorophosphate as a catalyst.
