<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for quantitative measurement of eye dominance capable of quantitatively measuring the eye dominance and of surely discriminating a dominant eye. <P>SOLUTION: The device for quantitative measurement of the eye dominance includes: a means to have binocular rivalry stimulation figures of symmetrical striped patterns comprising rectangular wave lattices of 4 or more cycle/deg of spatial frequencies orthogonally arranged and are presented to right and left eyes of an examinee for a given time; a means to record the result when the examinee dominantly perceives one of the binocular rivalry stimulation figures dominant to the other; a means to integrate the time for each binocular rivalry stimulation figure to be perceived dominantly to the other in the given time based on the record; and a means to increase/decrease contrast of at least one of the binocular rivalry stimulation figures. Further, the device measures the contrast ratio of the binocular rivalry stimulation figures when the perception times of the binocular rivalry stimulation figures in both eyes become equal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
