<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently optimize a write strategy in a short period of time. <P>SOLUTION: The optical recording method includes: an adjustment step (S162) of defining coefficients so that dispersion of a combined variable obtained by a product sum of parameters of a plurality of selected write strategies and the coefficients corresponding to the parameters becomes large, a write strategy along a component axis defined by the determined coefficients so that the jitter value of a reproduced signal becomes minimum; and a write step (S17) of performing writing on an optical recording medium using the write strategy obtained by the write strategy adjustment step.
