<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical data communication system which removes interference noise due to reflected light. <P>SOLUTION: A station device 13 supplies continuous light with single wavelength to a subscriber device 11 via an optical fiber 12, multiplexes modulated light obtained by modulating the continuous light transmitted from the subscriber device 11 via the optical fiber and light obtained by branching a part of the continuous light, photoelectrically converts the multiplexed light to perform optical coherent reception, and passes the received signal through an electric high-pass filter. The subscriber device 11 has a modulation means for modulating the continuous light supplied by the station device 13 by a data signal.
