PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve efficient character input even when character input is performed to a plurality of input fields.

SOLUTION: Input terminal equipment includes: an identification part for detecting the input content of a character input area, and for identifying the character input area; and a node separator imparting part for generating a retrieval key in which a node separator showing the character input area identified by the identification part is associated with the detected input content. A retrieval server uses dictionary data configured like a tree structure with words having dependency relation as nodes associated with the character input area, and detects the node of the dictionary data corresponding to the character input area of the input content included in the retrieval key on the basis of the node separator of the retrieval key received from the input terminal equipment, and makes the input terminal equipment display the word as the node as a conversion candidate.
