PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video format for 3D display, which is suitable for 3D displaying of a caption and a menu button.

SOLUTION: A display set includes caption data to be used for 2D displaying of a caption. The display set also includes offset information consisting of: an offset direction indicating the shift direction of the caption for a left eye and the caption for a right eye to be used for 3D display of the caption on each picture with respect to a caption on each picture corresponding to the caption data; and an offset value indicating a shift amount. This invention is applicable to, for example, a 3D display disk.
