PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an objective lens switching device capable of optimally performing a switching operation in accordance with the type of an objective lens being an object to be switched. SOLUTION: A control means is configured to determine the type of the objective lens being the object to be switched, based on setting by an input means and a switching command from an operating means, and also, change the braking condition of a driving means in accordance with the determined type of the objective lens.
