PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bottom chassis for a thin film transistor liquid crystal display element giving contamination resistance to a bottom chassis while maintaining high strength and reducing its weight and thickness, in the bottom chassis for housing a backlight unit indispensably included with a panel unit in a TFT-LCD. SOLUTION: In the bottom chassis for the thin film transistor liquid crystal display element including: an inner layer equiped with 0.001 to 0.1 wt.% carbon (C), 0.002 to 0.05 wt.% silicon (Si), 0.28 to 2.0 wt.% manganese (Mn), and the remainder of iron and inevitable impurities; a plating layer formed on the inner layer and including electric zinc; and a polymer chromium-free contamination preventing layer formed on the plating layer. The total thickness of the inner layer, the plating layer and the polymer chromium-free contamination preventing layer is 0.5 to 0.9 mm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
