PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical splitting element that is of a laminated type integrally having a plurality of splitting films and has a characteristic that has small stress distortion and is not affected by a polarization state. SOLUTION: In this optical splitting element, a plane part of a first glass base material on which at least one splitting film is deposited is stuck to a plane part of a second glass base material via an adhesive.
