PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized, lightweight, and highly-sensitive magnetic detection element. SOLUTION: This small-sized and lightweight magnetic detection element 1 can be constituted by using a TMR element 2 manufactured by using originally a thin film technology or the like. The magnetic detection element 1 has a constitution including on one surface thereof, a magnetic field sensing auxiliary soft magnetic film 7 whose coercive force is lower than that of a magnetic layer 4 and whose anisotropic axis is set independently of the anisotropic axis of the magnetic layer 4, and in addition, magnetic field sensitivity as a sensor is improved because magnetic force detection can be performed with separated function by utilizing a difference of the coercive force.
