PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the risk of causing the clogging by waste straws at the periphery of a discharging opening, caused by the hooking of the terminal parts of the waste straws at the ear sides on the upper edge of the discharging opening or one terminal edge remotest from a nipping and conveying mechanism. SOLUTION: The threshing apparatus is constituted so that the ear sides of reaped grain culms may be fed by a nipping and conveying mechanism 26 arranged at one side part of a threshing part 22, from a feeding opening 30 of the threshing part 22 to a space between a threshing cylinder 28 and a receiving net 29, and discharged from the discharging opening 31 of the threshing part 22. The discharging opening 31 is formed so that the height position of one terminal side part 31a positioned at the side remote from the nipping and conveying mechanism 26 at the upper edge 31A of the discharging opening 31 may be positioned at the upper side of the height position of one terminal side part 30a positioned at the side remote from the nipping and conveying mechanism 26 at the upper edge 30A of the feeding opening 30, and the one-terminal edge 31B remotest from the nipping and conveying mechanism 26 at the discharging opening 31 may be positioned at the position remote from the nipping and conveying mechanism 26 than the receiving net 29.
