PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for producing a biochip, forming a resin composition layer having excellent diffusion controlling properties of an acid generated by light exposure even in a case of little exposure value, and to provide a method for producing the biochip by using the resin composition. SOLUTION: The resin composition for producing the biochip includes a polymer having a nitrogen-containing group, a compound represented by formula (1), a radiation-sensitive acid-generating agent and a solvent. In the formula, R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are each independently alkyl, aralkyl, allyl, hydroxyalkyl, alkoxyalkyl, glycidyl or halogenated alkyl; n and m are each an integer selected from 0-4; X<SP>1</SP>and Y<SP>1</SP>are each independently alkyl, alkoxy, halogen, nitro, sulfonic acid, hydroxy, amino or carboalkoxy; and when n and m are≥2, respective X<SP>1</SP>s or Y<SP>1</SP>s may be the same as or different from each other.
