<p>The present invention relates to a method for effectively washing a biofouled membrane filter using a supercritical fluid. A washing process is performed by placing the biofouled membrane filter in a washing chamber, and continuously introducing/passing the supercritical fluid to/through the washing chamber. Accordingly, the surface of the membrane filter washed by said washing process has a significantly decreased level of biofouling and microorganisms.</p>
