摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving force controller for a vehicle equipped with an engine and an automatic transmission to make speed change with stages, capable of controlling a change in the driving force during the speed change transient period. SOLUTION: As setting means 104 the controller has an output torque setting means 108 and a shift range setting means 106 to set the target engine torque for obtaining the target driving force and the target shift range, and further the controller has a speed change control means 110 which changes the shift range of the automatic transmission 10 to the target shift range, an engine torque control means 112 to control the output torque of the engine 30 so that the target engine torque is obtained, and a target driving force gradient calculating means 114 to calculate the target driving force gradient on the basis of the target driving force. The calculation of the target driving force gradient by the gradient calculating means 114 is conducted before a torque phase start in shifting by the automatic transmission 10, and the speed change control means 110 executes shifting so that the change in the driving force of the vehicle becomes the target driving force gradient in the torque phase.
