PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the arranging property of dishes while securing a predetermined washing performance. SOLUTION: This dishwasher includes a washing tub 2 for storing a dish basket 4 where the dishes 3 are disposed, a washing means 6 for circulating wash water in the washing tub 2, a heating means 5 for heating the wash water in the washing tub 2, a drainage means 10 for discharging the wash water in the washing tub 2, a washing nozzle 7 rotatably disposed in the washing tub 2 and having jet holes 8 for jetting the wash water, and an electric driving means 18 for actuating the washing nozzle 7 by an electric motor, wherein the washing nozzle 7 is rotated in the washing tub 2 by the electric driving means 18 so as to rotate at a predetermined rotating speed irrelevant to the disposition, the jetting angle and the number of the jet holes 8 on the washing nozzle 7. The jet holes 8 can be thus disposed at any position of the washing nozzle 7 so as to wash the dishes, even if deep dishes 3 such as rice bowls and soup bowls are arranged at optional positions in the dish basket 4.
