CURRENT DETECTION CIRCUIT AND SWITCHING REGULATOR USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain continuous signals corresponding to a current flowing in inductors. SOLUTION: A current detection circuit of switching regulators includes: a first transistor that is connected to the inductor and switches a current flowing in the inductor from a power supply; and a second transistor connected to a node to which the inductor and the first transistor are connected and which is turned on for a portion of an off period of the first transistor. The current detection circuit of switching regulators also includes: a current generation circuit for generating a detection current corresponding to a current flowing in the first transistor; a holding circuit for outputting a voltage corresponding to the detection current in an on period of the first transistor and holding a voltage corresponding to the detection current for the off period of the first transistor for output; and an output transistor for generating a current corresponding to an output voltage of the holding circuit.
