A process for disposing of waste containing vulcanised rubber, especially vehicle tyres, comprises thermally breaking down the components, and using the heat energy of a vortex bed firing unit. The material to be disposed of is up to 1500 mm in size and is placed in a reactor (1). The process heat is created in the stationary vortex bed fired unit and is exported to the inside of the reactor. The excess pyrolysis products, eg oil and gas, are converted into electricity and heat. The reactor can be charged continuously or intermittently. The charge unit consists of drum rollers, a slider unit, and a lock unit.
|
