<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inverter-type level shift circuit capable of achieving level conversion of large amplitude while suppressing through current. <P>SOLUTION: In the inverter-type level shift circuit 10, the size of an n-channel transistor 112 of a CMOS inverter circuit 11 of a first stage is set to an extreme size difference that is (a) times (for example, a hundred times) as large as the size of a p-channel transistor 111 or more.
