<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical receiver module capable of measuring an accurate OSNR without diminishing signal light or using a large-scale device, in a WDM light transmission method. <P>SOLUTION: The optical receiver module includes: a polarization control device for dividing a light signal including signal light and noise light in a signal wavelength band of the signal light into a first polarization component matching the polarization direction of the signal light and a second polarization component orthogonal to the polarization direction, and supplying the first polarization component and the second polarization component to a first optical path and a second optical path, respectively; a first light detection element for subjecting light intensity of a light signal of the first optical path to photoelectric conversion to detect a signal; and a second light detection element for subjecting light intensity of a light signal of the second optical path to photoelectric conversion. The optical receiver module adjusts a threshold level of the photoelectric conversion output of the first light detection element based on an OSNR calculated by the photoelectric conversion outputs of the first light detection element and the second light detection element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
