PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent movement and falling of a shroud head temporarily placed in a DS pool even when a big earthquake occurs; to prevent damage of the shroud head; and to prevent leakage of water under a dose in the DS pool caused by damage of a lining in the DS pool. SOLUTION: A temporary placing device for a shroud head temporarily supports a shroud head 2 taken out of a reactor pressure vessel c in a DS pool b, and includes a frame 1 for a shroud head which is provided at a lower part of the DS pool b, and on which the shroud head 2 is mounted; a mechanical fixing means fixing the trestle for a shroud head in the DS pool; and a vibration prevention means for preventing vibration by earthquakes by laterally supporting the mechanical fixing means.
