The invention relates to a template that can be used for cutting facial hair. The invention is characterised in that it comprises a laminar body with a U-shaped recess, said recess forming a hole for the user's neck and a pair of projections on the structure of the laminar body, which projections are rectangular and extend the length of the hole so that it is sufficiently big for user's neck. Both faces of the body include a first etched horizontal straight line that extends across the laminar body from one side thereof to the other and a second etched line that extends from the centre of the horizontal etched line to the lowest point of the trough of the U-shaped recess, said etched lines being perpendicular to one another.
