<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output a single viewpoint image suitable for appreciation from image data recorded as a multi viewpoint image. <P>SOLUTION: A print region suited to an aspect ratio of a desired print paper size is designated into a left or right three-dimensional (3D) display region constituting a multi viewpoint image. For example, in the left 3D display region, a rectangular region with (32, 32) to (620, 940) as diagonal points is designated as the print region. A paper size such as "postcard", "B6", "A4" or the like is designated through operating a not shown cross button or an OK key and an inscribed rectangular region securing to the maximum the aspect ratio of the designated paper size within the left or the right 3D display region may also be automatically defined as a print region. Print information including coordinates of the print region or the like is then stored in a storage region for print information provided in a header portion of an image file.
