PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite machine which prevents data deterioration due to the lapse of time, regarding data that is important and presents troubles, if the data vanishes and suppresses redundant performance deterioration and power consumption by minimizing processing involved in data refreshment. SOLUTION: The composite machine 1 performs data refreshment of data recorded in an HD 7, which is a mass storage device mounted in the composite machine 1 only about data marked as important data, by a user's performing an operation, such as deletion inhibition, when the period between the data writing and the present date exceeds a data update period determined, according to the HD 7.
