PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a mold capable of increasing a temperature rising rate in the mold by rapidly evaporating condensate water generated in the mold and of improving the strength of the mold. SOLUTION: Resin-coated sand 2 prepared by containing binder and refractory aggregate is preheated. The resin-coated sand 2 is filled into the mold 1, vapor is blown into the mold 1 to heat the resin-coated sand 2, and the binder is solidified or cured. Since the resin-coated sand 2 is preheated, the generation of the condensate water is reduced by suppressing heat quantity of latent heat of vapor taken by the resin-coated sand 2. The generated condensate water is rapidly evaporated by the reduced amount of the condensate water. The rate for raising the temperature in the mold 1 to a temperature equal to or higher than a temperature at which the binder of the resin-coated sand 2 is solidified or cured is increased.
