PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for highly accurately interpolating an imaging pixel value even when there are an outline, a thin line structure, or the like in the location of a focus detecting element. SOLUTION: An image sensor includes: a plurality of imaging pixels that have color filters with different spectral sensitive characteristics; and the focus detecting element that has a spectral sensitive characteristic approximated by the weighted sum of the spectral sensitive characteristics of the imaging pixels having the color filters and is arranged together with the imaging pixels.
