PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for calculating a measurement result (toxicity equivalence quantity) that agrees with GC/MS method, regardless of the contamination source. SOLUTION: An immunoassay method of the toxicity equivalence quantity of a dioxin includes a process for reacting a sample containing the dioxin and an anti-dioxin antibody having an affinity with a 3,3',4,4',5,5'-hexachlorobiphenyl; a process for detecting the quantity of the dioxin which is bonded to the anti-dioxin antibody, and the quantity of the anti-dioxin antibody which is not bonded to the dioxin; and a process for calculating the toxicity equivalence quantity in the sample from the detected quantities. The anti-dioxin antibody is a monoclonal antibody. Preferably, the anti-dioxin antibody preferably has affinity with a 2,3,4,7,8-pentachlorodibenzofuran. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
