PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite material composed of two or more sheets and having excellent rigidity, thermal insulation and sound insulation performance. SOLUTION: An aluminum-made plate material 1A in which a convex portion 20A and a plane portion 20C are formed on an aluminum-made flat plate material 1B is set in a press die device by mounting the plate material 1A so that the convex portion 20A protrudes upward i.e. the opening of the convex portion 20A faces downward; two or more convex portions 20B are formed on the two plate materials 1A and 1B; and the convex portions 20B are joined mutually to join the two plate materials 1A and 1B.
