Disclosed is a skin function-improving composition which is inexpensive, is highly safe, can be ingested orally, and has an activity of improving the drying condition of the skin so as to keep the skin in a moisturized condition. Specifically disclosed are: an orally ingestible skin function-improving composition which contains a milk fat globule membrane (MFGM) isolated from milk (particularly a butter milk or a processed product thereof) as an active ingredient, and has an activity of improving the drying condition of the skin (particularly an activity of reducing transepidermal water loss or an activity of preventing epidermal hyperplasia); a food or beverage having the aforementioned activity and also having a skin function-improving activity; and a skin function-improving agent having the aforementioned activity.
