The present invention provides lipoproteins derived from gram-positive bacteria functioning as a toll-like receptor 2 ligand. The lipoproteins derived from gram-positive bacteria act as a ligand bonded with the toll-like receptor 2. In addition, the lipoproteins can be provided as immunogens or immunostimulatory agents useful for the prevention or treatment of diseases caused by gram-positive bacteria, and also as an antibody for diagnosing gram-positive bacteria.
