PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve user-friendliness, by preventing a state in which a communication terminal device cannot be used for some time within a security area and releasing a security lock without making a user conscious of the release of the security lock. SOLUTION: A GPS (Global Positioning System) unit 105 acquires the current position information. A security setting unit 110 releases security when the position information is within a security area, and sets security when the position information is outside the security area. An information storing unit 104 beforehand stores the BSI of a base station associated with the security area. A radio unit 102 acquires the BSIs of a plurality of base stations. A GPS control unit 108 controls the timing of starting to acquire the position information by the GPS unit 105 on the basis of the BSI stored in the information storing unit 104 and the BSIs acquired by the radio unit 102.
